Vault13 wordt Akim!

Van een zachte G in het zuiden naar het hoogste puntje van Nederland (want er gaat niets boven Groningen): onze missie gaat door!

De komende maand verhuizen we samen met Akim Stripspeciaalzaak al onze comics, omni’s en TPB’s naar het noorden van het land.

Met Akim hebben we de juiste overnamepartner gevonden om te voorzien in de behoeften van comic-minded Nederland – en zelfs Europa.

Maar wat betekent dit concreet voor jou?
Hieronder de belangrijkste zaken op een rijtje:

Verhuizing

Binnen drie weken verhuist de volledige inventaris naar Groningen. Jullie begrijpen: dat is een flinke klus. Akim heeft nog tijd nodig om alles in te ruimen en de inventaris te spiegelen. Zodra dat is gebeurd, komt alles weer online in deze webshop.

Webshop

De webshop blijft hetzelfde. De naam verandert, maar het bestelproces blijft identiek. Er verandert dus in principe niets.

Verzending & Service

De exacte afhandeling van bestellingen kan iets veranderen, maar qua kwaliteit en service verandert er niets. Akim zal met dezelfde liefde en passie met de producten omgaan als wij altijd hebben gedaan.

Verzending van stacks

Wil je je stacks laten verzenden? Dan kun je het product “Ship My Stacks” in onze webshop aanschaffen:

Dit is een gratis product waarbij je vervolgens een verzendmethode kunt kiezen.
Zodra je dit product bestelt, versturen wij al je stacks.

Let op: Op zaterdag 26 juli bieden we nog één keer de mogelijkheid om je stacks af te halen in Venlo.

Wat als ik mijn stacks niet laat versturen?

Akim neemt alle openstaande verplichtingen over. Je stacks verhuizen dus mee. Zodra je in de toekomst een bestelling met verzendkosten bij Akim plaatst, worden je stacks met je order mee verzonden.

We willen wel benadrukken dat er bij een verhuizing van deze omvang altijd een kans bestaat op fouten of beschadigingen. Doe jezelf (en ons) dus een plezier en laat je stacks binnen de komende drie weken verzenden.

Toekomstige pre-orders

Akim blaast het pre-order systeem nieuw leven in. Houd je mail goed in de gaten om te horen wanneer je weer gebruik kunt maken van het vertrouwde systeem.

Lopende pre-orders

Er was enige onduidelijkheid in onze communicatie, maar we blijven bij ons oorspronkelijke standpunt: alle pre-orders worden afgehandeld.
De komende drie weken komt er nog veel binnen, en ook latere issues worden gewoon gereserveerd.
Vanaf augustus zal Akim de volledige afhandeling op zich nemen.

We willen jullie ontzettend bedanken voor alle lieve woorden van de afgelopen weken. Het was te veel om iedereen persoonlijk te beantwoorden, maar weet dat het ons enorm geraakt heeft.

We zijn dan ook ontzettend blij dat John en zijn team bij Akim ons passieproject voortzetten. En we hebben er alle vertrouwen in dat zij Vault13 naar nieuwe hoogtes kunnen tillen!

Vault13 becomes Akim!

From a soft “G” in the South to the highest point of the Netherlands (because nothing beats Groningen): our mission continues!

In the coming month, we’ll be moving all our comics, omnis, and TPBs to the north of the country together with Akim Stripspeciaalzaak.

With Akim, we’ve found the right partner to take over and meet the needs of comic-minded fans across the Netherlands – and even Europe.

But what does this mean for you?
Here are the key points:

Move

Within the next three weeks, the entire inventory will be moved to Groningen. As you can imagine, that’s quite the undertaking. Akim still needs time to unpack everything and mirror the inventory. Once that’s done, everything will be back online in this webshop.

Webshop

The webshop will remain the same. The name will change, but the ordering process will work exactly as before. So, essentially, nothing changes.

Shipping & Service

The exact handling of orders might change slightly, but the quality and service will remain the same. Akim will treat the products with the same care and passion as we always have.

Shipping your stacks

Would you like to have your stacks shipped? You can do so by purchasing the “Ship My Stacks” product in our webshop:

This is a free product, where you can select your preferred shipping method afterward.
Once you’ve purchased it, we’ll ship all your stacks.

Note: On Saturday, July 26, we’ll offer one final opportunity to pick up your stacks in Venlo.

What if I don’t ship my stacks?

Akim will handle all open obligations. Your stacks will move along with the rest of the inventory. Once you place a future order with shipping costs at Akim, they will include your stacks in the shipment.

That said, please keep in mind that with a move of this scale, there’s always a risk of mistakes or damage. So do yourself (and us) a favor and have your stacks shipped within the next three weeks.

Future pre-orders

Akim will breathe new life into the pre-order system. Keep an eye on your email to find out when you’ll be able to use the trusted pre-order system again.

Current pre-orders

There was some confusion in our previous communication, but we stand by our original message: all pre-orders will be fulfilled.
Much is still expected to arrive in the next three weeks, and any later issues will also be reserved.
From August onward, Akim will take over fulfillment.

End of an Era Sale

Unfortunately, the promised online sale will not take place.

We want to sincerely thank you for all the kind words over the past few weeks. It was too much to respond to everyone personally, but please know that it meant a great deal to us.

We’re truly excited that John and his team at Akim will carry on our passion project. And we have full confidence that they’ll take Vault13 to new heights!
